Panometer
Heute war unser Kultur- und Museumstag. Als erstes der absolute Höhepunkt des Tages, das Panometer des Yadegar Asisi. Das Wort Panometer setzt sich zusammen aus Panorama und Gasometer.
Asisi hat in einem ehemaligen Gasometer der Stadtwerke Leipzig auf einer 100 Meter langen und 30 Meter hohen Fotoleinwand ein 360 Grad-Panorama des Amazonas-Regenwaldes entstehen lassen. Zusammen mit Licht- und Toneffekten, die einen Regenwaldtag in 15 Minuten ablaufen lassen, wird dem Besucher ein atemberaubendes Schauspiel geboten.
Danach führte uns unser Weg zum Museum “Runde Ecke”. Trotz des harmlosen Namens haben die Leipziger keine gute Erinnerung an das Gebäude diesen Namens. Es war Leipzigs Stasi-Zentrale. In zwei Ausstellungen werden dort die Macht, aber auch Banalität des Stasi-Terrors dargestellt und die Geschichte der Leipziger Friedensdemonstrationen bis zur Wiedervereinigung.
Den Abschluss machte ein weniger schweres Thema, das auch seine Geschichte hat: Apotheken und Apotheker im Apothekenmuseum bei der Thomaskirche.
