Weilburg an der Lahn
Letztes Jahr im Mai haben wir die Lahn von der Quelle im Rothaargebirge bis zur Mündung in den Main abgeradelt. Ab Wetzlar hat es pausenlos geregnet, ausgerechnet auf dem schönsten Stück der Lahn. Deshalb wollen wir bei vorhergesagtem schönen Wetter dieses Stück wiederholen.
Mit der Bahn sind wir heute bis Weilburg gefahren und übernachten dort. Den Abend – es ist ja noch lange hell – haben wir genutzt, uns die malerische Altstadt und den Schlossgarten in der Lahnschleife anzusehen. Und im Anschluss sind wir der Empfehlung unseres Wirts gefolgt und haben in der urigen Turmschmiede in der Turmgasse zu Abend gegessen: Sehr gutes und reichliches Essen, freundlicher Service, zivile Preise.
